Removing Tape Without Damaging Your Floor

We sell lots of tape products that are designed to come up clean,  leaving no adhesive residue on the floor.  Gaffers tape and our gym floor tape both have high quality, residue free adhesives.  This can be an important time saver when you have to do the same set up week after week.

Unfortunately, getting tape to come up without doing any damage to floor finishes (particularly painted surfaces) is a lot more challenging.

Here’s a tip that can help you leave behind a blemish-free surface. Pull tape up in short lenghts, lifting approximately six inches of tape at a time from the floor at a 45 degree angle.  Watch the floor surface carefully and if there is any indication of damage, tear the tape on the other side of that area and work back over that point from the opposite direction.
